The Facts:
Working with a Nerf football, Delhomme is limited to 20 throws of 10 yards by trainer Ryan Vermillion, who is managing Delhomme's recovery from the Oct. 18 Tommy John elbow surgery that wiped out most of his 2007 season. "I'd like to throw more," Delhomme said. "I think I can go a little longer and a little farther with it, but we don't want to push it."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Other than a brief trip to Louisana to visit family when the season was over, Delhomme has been rehabbing with the Panthers' trainers in Carolina ever since. Four or five days a week, two or three hours at a time. He expects to be at full strength soon. While recovery from this type of surgery generally takes baseball pitchers 12 to 18 months, quarterbacks -- who don't throw breaking balls, can come back in seven to nine months. Delhomme's schedule has him at full strength by the start of training camp at the latest.
