The Jacksonville Jaguars on Wednesday signed Jones, who returned to the NFL last season after missing all of 2006 with a knee injury. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Reported by The Sports Ticker

Jones played in all 16 games for the Jaguars in 2007 - starting 11 - and was named a first alternate to the Pro Bowl. He rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns on 42 carries and caught 11 passes for 99 yards and two scores. The 6-1, 254-pound Jones played a major role in the success of the Jaguars' running game. Jacksonville ranked second in the NFL in rushing, averaging 149.4 yards per game.
