In response to a civil lawsuit, Vick's attorneys filed documents Friday denying the Falcons quarterback gave a woman a sexually transmitted disease. Gwinnett County resident Sonya Elliott, 26, alleges
Vick knowingly gave her genital herpes following an encounter in April 2003.

Regardless of its legal merits, this lawsuit will continue to draw attention over the next few months. And given the highly personal and rather embarrassing nature of the situation, it's hard to believe it won't be at least a minor distraction as the summer progresses.
