The Facts:
The Lions would like to re-sign some of their free agents before they hit the open market, including Duckett, right tackle Damien Woody and cornerbacks Travis Fisher and Keith Smith. But Marinelli doesn't expect they will. "Well, some you'd like," Marinelli said. "But I don't see it happening. I think guys want to go out and test the market. Being honest, people are going to test the market, and they should."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Lions want to run the ball more with Jim Colletto replacing Mike Martz as OC. Duckett and Tatum Bell are free agents, and Kevin Jones is recovering from a torn ACL. "The doctors say everything is fine and he's coming along and all those things, but you don't know when the starting signal is," Marinelli said. "You don't know. He could get to camp and then you have to wait and see how he feels in camp. ..." Our guess is the Lions will make a concerted effort to retain Duckett; Bell is not expected back.
