Texans Waive TE Jeb Putzier
(2/20 7:47 PT)

The Facts:
The Texans placed Putzier on waivers Tuesday as part of an ongoing effort to meet salary cap limits. Reported by the Houston Chronicle

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Putzier seemed like a good fit in Houston -- given the understanding of Gary Kubiak's offense gained when the two were in Denver together. But Owen Daniels emerged as a legitimate enough receiving threat to clear the way for Putzier's departure. Houston is expected to re-sign blocking TE Mark Bruener, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent. ... Meanwhile, Scout.com's Adam Caplan recently advised readers that Putzier could be pursued by the Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals, and New York Jets. All three teams showed interest in the athletic tight end two years ago before he signed with Houston and all three still need help at the position.
