The kicking job is supposed to be Aaron Elling's to lose, but the team expressed some interest Monday in Edinger, who was released Sunday by Chicago at the end of a three-day mini-camp. "All I can say is we're investigating it," Vikings vice president of football operations Rob Brzezinski said of a possible Edinger signing. "There is some interest."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As a restricted free agent in 2003, Edinger received a five-year, $7 million offer from the Vikings that the Bears matched.
