The Facts:
The Seahawks receiver and special-teams standout is out for at least eight weeks, and perhaps up to 12, with a broken right collarbone. It's the same injury Bannister suffered midway through last season that forced him onto injured reserve, thus ending his 2004 campaign. Bannister broke the bone again during special-teams drills in Wednesday's practice.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The injury comes at a critical time, since Bannister is among those veteran receivers who are trying to keep their jobs in the face of stiff competition. Ten receivers, including Bannister, are starting the battle for no more than six spots on the final roster, and now Bannister is certain to miss all of training camp.
