The Facts:
Droughns said Tuesday he no longer plans to hold out of training camp for a new deal and that he'll play the 2005 season under his current contract. "Deep down inside, the way I feel is that the way I get a new deal is to prove myself on the field and everything upstairs will take care of itself," he said. Droughns, acquired in a trade with Denver, walked out of the Browns off-season program in April and vowed not to come back until the Browns upped the ante.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Droughns had a change of heart and returned to the Browns in mid-May. He began working out again in the off-season program and attended passing camp. He said the walkout may have set him back. "A little bit," he said. "I wasn't getting the same type of work as these guys were getting. ..." It's safe to assume "these guys" include William Green, who seems to be working his way back into the mix.
