The Facts:
Harrington received his $3 million roster bonus Wednesday. Harrington's salary cap number for this season, including other bonuses and his salary of $4.95 million, is nearly $8 million and, by far, the highest on the team. The next highest cap number is $5.2 million, belonging to cornerback Dre Bly. However, Lions chief operating officer Tom Lewand said the team did not attempt to restructure or extend Harrington's deal to reduce the number.

There were reports
earlier this year that team officials considered not paying the bonus -- and weren't certain Harrington was their QB of the future. They seem to have a better feel now.
