Sirius NFL radio is reporting that Hakim is no longer on the Chief's roster. The conjecture is that Hakim wanted a guaranteed roster spot. Several days ago, Chiefs coach Dick Vermeil indicated that Hakim would have to compete for a roster spot.

NFL.com and Sirius radio’s Pat Kirwan believes the top contenders for Hakim’s services are the New Orleans Saints, who previously offered Hakim a contract, and the Arizona Cardinals. Kirwan added that Kansas City could turn back to Johnnie Morton, who they released about a week ago, or Freddie Mitchell who visited the team several weeks ago.
