The Facts:
Johnson showed no aftereffects from arthroscopic ankle surgery one month ago. On Friday, he grabbed a Carson Palmer pass one-handed over the middle and tipped the ball down into his body without breaking stride. He also caught two deep passes from Palmer and went all out, falling hard while extending for a ball thrown out of bounds. "Five little (bone) chips, about the size of peas," Johnson said of what doctors removed from his ankle. "I saved them."

This is the first we've heard of this one, and fortunately the news is good. Johnson also said the ankle hurt -- the result of bone spurs rubbing -- while he stood still. He felt no pain while running, he said. Johnson missed the first week of on-field coaching sessions in May.
