First Tim Dwight, now Morton. ... The Patriots ranked 29th in punt returns last season and seem to be intent on turning their return game around. ... Morton provides insurance should Dwight encounter a setback from offseason foot surgery and also provides security behind kick returner Bethel Johnson, who helped the Pats to a No. 9 ranking last year but missed mini-camp with a foot injury. Johnson expects to be back for training camp.
