DRAFTKINGS DFS NFL CASH GAME PICKS - WEEK 11

QUARTERBACK

TOP PLAY

C.J. Stroud, HOU ($7000)

Imagine what you would say if I told you that the HOU/ARI game would be one of the most highly anticipated matchups this late in the year, and also if I said C.J. Stroud would be my top QB choice for the week! The Stroud/Murray matchup features the highest O/U on the slate, and I could see a lot of scenarios where the total goes over. Stroud has five finishes in the top-12 for QBs this year, and Arizona ranks dead last in both pressure rate and QB hit rate, setting up clean pockets all game for the rookie.

Other options - Dak Prescott, Justin Fields

Mid-tier options - Jared Goff, Sam Howell, Kyler Murray

VALUE PLAY

Brock Purdy, SF ($5800)

Purdy’s price tag only rose $100 despite posting 23.84 DK points in a decisive win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10. It’s incredible how good he looks with his offense fully healthy, and he gets another great matchup this weekend against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They’ve been a pass funnel defense that has allowed 9.3 yards per attempt over the past five games (including Will Levis‘ dud last week) and have allowed nine passing touchdowns in that span as well. San Francisco should cook in this one, and Purdy will be at the center.

Other options - Geno Smith, Dorian Thompson-Robinson

RUNNING BACK

TOP PLAY

Austin Ekeler, LAC ($8600)

Austin Ekeler’s efficiency has tanked this year, as he’s posted YPC totals of 1.9, 3.2, 1.9, 3.4, and 3.5 since returning from injury. This is worrisome for a player who always has a floor and a high RZ equity but Ekeler remains a focal point in the passing game, logging 22 targets over the last three games. Green Bay is a prime matchup for Ekeler, as the Packers have allowed the sixth most receptions and the seventh most FPPG to opposing RBs.

Other options - Christian McCaffrey, Travis Etienne, Jahmyr Gibbs

Mid-tier options - Josh Jacobs, Tony Pollard, Breece Hall, Aaron Jones

VALUE PLAY

Devin Singletary, HOU ($5300)

Singletary was a chalk bust two weeks ago but rose to this past week’s overall RB2 (and still carrying ownership). He’s gone up $600, but it’s not nearly enough if you take into account his current role and the pristine matchup. Running backs have gashed the Cardinals on the ground this year: Arizona allowed 143.1 yards per game, 14 all-purpose touchdowns and the third-most FPPG to the position. Singletary logged 31 touches this past week and should maintain that role with Dameon Pierce still not ready to return to action.

Other options - Brian Robinson, James Conner, Jerome Ford

WIDE RECEIVER

TOP PLAY

Tyreek Hill, MIA ($9300)

You could make a case that Ceedee Lamb rivals Tyreek for the top spot this week, but I’m still rolling with the Miami speedster as Carolina (Dallas’ opponent) has actually tightened things up on the backend recently. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are literally the entire focal point of the Dolphins passing game, and the Raiders look to be without top CB Amik Robertson. Take advantage of the Dolphins’ slate-leading team total of 29.5 with their top player.

Other options - Ceedee Lamb, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Cooper Kupp

Mid-tier options - Garrett Wilson, Deebo Samuel, Tank Dell

VALUE PLAY

Christian Kirk, JAX ($6000)

I’m honestly not sure what Kirk has to do to get DraftKings to price him up above 6k. He was the only receiver to have any kind of success against the 49ers defense and he did so in a pretty big way with a 6-104-0 line on 11 targets. Kirk now leads the team in targets, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, and the Titans have allowed the sixth most completions and the sixth-most FPPG to opposing wideouts.

Other options - Tank Dell, Terry McLaurin, DJ Moore, Calvin Ridley, Marquise Brown, Michael Wilson, Rondale Moore

TIGHT END

TOP PLAY AND TOP VALUE

Trey McBride, ARI ($4400)

McBride’s pricing trajectory over the past few weeks has gone up from $2,500 to now $4,400. The casual player would tell you that he’s priced out, but it’s really not. Over the past three games, McBride has target shares of 28%, 41% and 28% and may even be the “1” to Marquise Brown‘s “1A.” McBride’s stock is surging, and he now gets a Houston defense which is has become one of the best matchups for TEs as the year goes on.

Other TE cash options - Dalton Schultz, Evan Engram, Cole Kmet, Logan Thomas, Tyler Conklin

TOP FIVE DEFENSES FOR CASH

Washington Commanders ($3600)

A brief note on this: I’m listing Washington as the top option because they’re mega-chalk right now, and it’s easy to understand why against the Giants. I’m not totally convinced, however, as $3600 is a lot to spend on a defense that traded away their top two pass rushers. A large part of me prefers the Steelers and Dolphins against a rookie QB with a much higher expected team sack rate.

Miami Dolphins ($3200)
Pittsburgh Steelers ($3500)
Green Bay Packers ($2300)
Jacksonville Jaguars ($3400)
