Preseason Week 1 Under The Radar

Quaterbacks
Jeff Tuel, Buffalo Bills -- Tuel had a strong outing against the Colts. He went 19/23 for 212 yards and 2 TD’s. You can’t ask an undrafted rookie free agent to do much more.
EJ Manuel, Buffalo Bills -- Was I more impressed by Tuel? Not really, but I put him first because he was not a first round pick. Manuel looked very good going 16/21 for 107 yards and a TD. He also ran for 28 yards on just 3 carries, but he fumbled as well.
Brad Sorensen, San Diego Chargers -- I’m going to predict that come Week 1 of the regular season Sorensen is Philip Rivers' backup. He went 7/10 and threw the only TD for San Diego in the game. Charlie Whitehurst (the assumed backup) threw two interceptions.
Pat White, Washington Redskins -- If RG3 goes down again and Cousins is the everyday starter, I could see the Redskins implementing a Wildcat package for White. He looked good in going 5/8 for 31 yards and rushing for 31 yards and a touchdown.
Tarvaris Jackson, Seattle Seahawks -- Jackson is looking much better his second time around with the Seahawks. It looks like he could easily step in if Russell Wilson were to get hurt.
Brian Hoyer, Cleveland Browns; Tyrod Taylor, Baltimore Ravens;, Josh Johnson, Cincinnati Bengals -- With an injury to a starter elsewhere around the NFL I could see one of these three guys come up in trade discussion, they all looked great in their first preseason games.
Running Backs
Brian Leonard/Mike James/Mike Smith, Tampa Bay Bucs -- One of these three guys is going to make the Bucs’ active roster as the third-down/change of pace back. They all looked good enough to fill the role.
Anthony Allen/Damien Berry, Baltimore Ravens -- Same story as above; one of these guys is going to make the active roster but neither seem to be getting a lot of carries come regular season with Pierce and Rice on the roster already.
Rex Burkhead, Cincinnati Bengals -- Burkhead looked decisive and game ready; he ran 9 times for 52 yards, he out performed Giovani Bernard who got drafted several picks ahead of him.
CJ Anderson, Denver Broncos- All this undrafted rookie out of Cal did was run for 69 yards against the 49ers top 10 defense. He looked much better than all other Denver RBs.
Christine Michael, Seattle Seahawks- Michael could play lots down the stretch and if the Seahawks look to go farther in this year’s playoffs Lynch is going to need fresh legs. Michael ran the ball 16 times for 89 yards in his NFL Debut.
Cierre Woods/Ray Graham, Houston Texans – Could one of these two be the next great undrafted rookie RB for the Texans? Woods ran the ball 10 times for 59 yards, with Graham running the ball 4 times for 26 yards and a TD.
Kenjon Barner, Carolina Panthers -- I see Barner getting a good amount of touches in his rookie season out of the backfield and possibly even lining up as a WR.
Wide Receivers
Aaron Mellette, Baltimore Ravens- I just have a strong feeling this guy is going to make a lot of people forget about Bolden. He is 6’2 and weighs 217; he also does not seem to be scared to go over the middle to make the big catch just like Bolden.
Raymond Radway, St Louis Rams -- Radway is 6-3 and had a huge NFL debut with 3 catches for 78 yards and a TD. If he keeps this up the Rams will have a nice Red Zone target.
Aaron Dobson, New England Patriots -- Dobson plays like he has been in the NFL for some time, I have a feeling he is going to be one of Brady’s’ favorite targets throughout the year.
Marquess Wilson, Chicago Bears -- His NFL debut was pretty good to say the least, for someone who hasn’t played football live in close to 8 months. Wilson had 4 catches for 82 yards.
Brice Butler, Oakland Raiders -- Butler is a big body target and he does have a little experience playing big time football (he started college at USC before transferring to SDSU). His NFL debut was brief but he had 2 catches for 70 yards and a TD.
Charles Hawkins/Jaron Butler, Arizona Cardinals -- Both of these young WR had multiple reception NFL debuts. Hawkins had a couple of nice grabs finishing with 4 catches for 92 yards. Butler had 5 catches for 46 yards and a TD.
Tight Ends
Vance McDonald, San Francisco 49ers -- In his NFL debut he had 4 receptions for 66 yards. McDonald is another huge Red Zone target for the 49ers; he is 6’4 and weighs 267 lbs.
Garret Graham, Houston Texans -- Graham is a second year player for the Texans and I think he is on the verge of a breakout season. He pulled down 5 catches for 49 yards in his first game, I think he improves on the 3 TD’s he had in 2012 by a good margin.
Julius Thomas, Denver Broncos -- Add another huge red-zone target for Manning, Thomas is 6-5 and he weighs 250 pounds.

: I have waited in many drafts for qb..and have mixed results. last yr i waited in 1 till rd 12 had to take rivers then shaub...mcoy and mjd(got him rd 3) both hurt me.. marshall was my best player.. and my qb play killed me right out of the gate..once mjd got hurt evrn tho i had reggie bush but a 15 every week from my qb.. i was done quick .. in my 14 team league i took p manning in rd 5..what draft was he the qb 10-13 please get me in that draft..i had p manning rice and marshall they got me the best record in the league and # 1 seed..so i agree on waiting to some degree. but if it backfires your season is over before it starts..got brees in rd 2 this yr he plays falcons 1st game he will have 340 and 3tds..and 35pts to go with spiller d wilson cobb garcon ty hilton...this is a 6 pt passing td league- no qb in rd 10 is throwing for 40 tds
