Digging In The Crates Week 13
(DraftKings Main Slate)
Week 13
Quarterbacks
Taylor Heinicke @ Raiders ($5,600)
Another win in the books for Taylor Heinicke as we watch his story of perseverance continue. In the past two games Heinicke has completed a combined 42-of-54 passes for 462 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions. Week 13 he’ll face a Raiders pass defense that ranks 25th in DVOA and is giving up 19.6 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. He seems to be getting more, and more comfortable as he goes, and maybe his ceiling has yet to be reached.
Tua Tagovailoa vs. Giants ($5,500)
Tua Tagovailoa is maturing. Like most of the young starting quarterbacks in the NFL. Over the past two games, he has completed a league-leading 84.4% of his 64 passes with three touchdowns and one interception. He’ll get a middle of the road Giants pass defense at home. He’s going to continue to pepper Jaylen Waddle with targets and together they make a nice stack in tournaments.
Bonus: Tyrod Taylor
Running Backs
Jamaal Williams vs. Vikings ($5,400)
D'Andre Swift is going to miss a couple weeks, and Jamaal Williams is set to take on a work horse role 13 at home against the Vikings. Williams is a lock for close to 20 touches, and he’ll get a Vikings run defense that ranks 30th in the NFL. Jamaal Williams is probably the best dollar for dollar play on the week 13 main slate.
Antonio Gibson @ Raiders ($5,700)
Antonio Gibson had 36 touches week 12 in a home win against the Seattle Seahawks. Gibson could get even more work if J.D. McKissic sits. The Raiders defense is allowing over 125 rushing yards per game on the ground. This is another smash spot for Gibson at a bargain. The Football Team is finding their identity and Gibson is a focal point. I’ll have him everywhere Week 13.
Bonus: James Conner
Wide Receivers
Odell Beckham vs. Jaguars ($5,500)
Odell Beckham is dealing with another injury but it doesn’t appear to be serious. Beckham played in 98% of the snaps Week 12 and received 10 targets. His upside historically is unquestioned, and now he has been gifted with playing on arguably the best offense in football. He’ll get a Jaguars secondary that is ranked dead last. I love that he was targeted ten times week 12, as his rapport with Matthew Stafford is blossoming already. Sign me up at his price
Brandon Aiyuk @ Seahawks ($5,600)
The 49ers will be without Deebo Samuel week 13 and Brandon Aiyuk will slide into the alpha role in a similar fashion as he did a season ago. Since Week 8, he has 23 receptions on 32 targets for 336 yards with 2 touchdowns and has scored double-digit fantasy points in four of his last five games.
Massive opportunity and upside here. He can get us 20-25 DK points with Samuel out against a bottom of the barrel Seahawks secondary.
Tight Ends
Foster Moreau vs. Football Team ($2,700)
Darren Waller is set to miss Week 13, and Foster Moreau will be absorbing the usage. Hopefully. In the lone game Darren Waller missed this season, Moreau tallied six receptions (on six targets) with 60 receiving yards, and a touchdown. He’ll face a Washington Football Team that allowed Gerald Everett to get in a week ago. He’ll be chalky, but at his price tag who cares. He’s worth it.
Gerald Everett vs. 49ers ($3,800)
The Seahawks offense has been atrocious, but Gerald Everett has been leaned on over the past couple weeks as Russell Wilson has suffered with a nagging finger injury. Everett has caught 16-of-21 Targets over the last three weeks as he absorbs the usage in the middle of the field. It’s a position of mediocrity, but also a spot we don’t have to spend. He’s playing close to 80% of the snaps.
Defense:Special Teams
Dolphins vs. Giants ($3,300)
