DRAFTKINGS DFS CASH PICKS - WEEK 14

QUARTERBACK

TOP PLAY

Justin Fields, CHI ($6800)

Justin Fields has only thrown the ball 60 times since returning from injury, but he’s been incredibly efficient with over a 71% completion rate (the short pass game Chicago seems to be playing will help that). Even if you think this is unsustainable, one cannot deny Fields’ rushing upside. He’s put to rest any injury concerns one might have, as he’s run the ball 30 times in the two games since returning from his absence. Fields just rushed 18 times for 104 yards against these same Lions, and now gets to do it at home. He has arguably the same floor and ceiling as his top-tier counterparts, and comes with a discount.

VALUE PLAY

Gardner Minshew, IND ($5400)

Gardner Minshew’s unstable floor (6.66 DK points in Week 10) is what’s causing him to remain static in the low-$5k range of pricing. Honestly, though, it’s a bit overreactive. Minshew has thrown the ball 83 times over the last two games, and this week’s matchup with Cincinnati is a big one. The O/U of 40.5 strikes me as far too low, as this game profiles to shoot out very similarly to the Jaguars-Bengals Monday night tilt. Cincinnati has allowed the seventh-most FPPG to opposing QBs, and Minshew has rushing-TD upside in this Shane Steichen offense.

RUNNING BACK

Christian McCaffrey, SF ($9200)

There is arguably no more bankable player in fantasy football than Christian McCaffrey, and he’s underpriced as long as he remains in the low-9k range. CMC is fresh off a 17-93-1 line with 4-40 through the air against the top-ranked Philly rush defense, and is as matchup-proof as it gets. Seattle profiles as pass-funnel, but McCaffrey just eviscerated them for 33.9 DK points two weeks ago. He has 12 rushing TDs in as many games, and his 1,032 rushing yards alone constitute an elite fantasy season. Throw in the 51/429/5 receiving line this year, and you have someone you should not build cash contests without.

VALUE PLAY

Zack Moss, IND ($5900)

Zack Moss was a chalk bust in Week 13, but hardly hurt anyone, as he was rostered in upwards of 95-97% of most cash contests. If you faded in GPP for the passing game, congrats. Moss’ price tag has now risen $1,300, but he’s still far too cheap and will be immensely popular. Despite an inefficient 2.7 YPC, Moss still logged a 100% carry share in this game. And don’t forget that he was the RB6 through the first five weeks of the season (one of which included Jonathan Taylor in the lineup). This matchup is also far friendlier than the one against Tennessee.

WIDE RECEIVER

TOP PLAY

Keenan Allen, LAC ($8600)

If it weren’t for Tyreek Hill and the aforementioned McCaffrey, Keenan Allen would be making a strong push for the offensive player of the year. With all the injuries to the Chargers’ pass-catchers, Justin Herbert has leaned heavily on Allen and it’s paid off big time to those who drafted him in fantasy. Keenan Allen leads the league in targets (138) and receptions (102) and is third in receiving yards and second in fantasy points per game. The big knock on him as he got older was his diminishing aDOT, but that hasn’t been the case this year as Allen is also seventh in the league in air yards. He’s a giant in cash games with the PPR floor.

Mid-tier options - Mike Evans, JaMarr Chase, Michael Pittman, Brandon Aiyuk, DJ Moore

VALUE PLAY

Zay Flowers, BAL ($5700)

Flowers has been the most direct beneficiary of Mark Andrews’ season-ending injury. He had eight targets last week, and leads the Ravens team with 80. Flowers is also 13th in the NFL in yards after catch, and the best part is that we saw his positive TD regression actually hit last week (he scored twice). Look for Flowers to keep leading the Ravens passing attack, and he’s really not priced appropriately for his increased role.

TIGHT END

TOP PLAY

Travis Kelce, KC ($7800)

Opportunity cost dictates that you don’t really need to pay for Kelce in cash this week, but he remains the top option at the position even though some decline (injury?) has been showing. It should be pointed out, though, that his price is starting to drop.

Mid-tier options - Cole Kmet, David Njoku

VALUE PLAY

Isaiah Likely, BAL ($3500)

We don’t have a min-priced play like we had with Brevin Jordan last week, but Isaiah Likely is more than affordable at $3500. He played a 73% snap share last week and led the team in receiving yards on six targets. The Rams have given up the third most FPPG to opposing TEs, despite stuffing David Njoku a week ago.
