DRAFTKINGS DFS CASH PLAYS NFL WEEK 13 2021
I hope everyone had a happy and restful (and hopefully profitable) Thanksgiving! The Dallas/Vegas game at the very least was entertaining, and we get another dose of the Cowboys in TNF tonight! I’ll be joining the Football Diehards tonight at 10:35 EST to talk about the early plays for Sunday DFS, and look for my GPP stacking article tomorrow!
QUARTERBACK
TOP PLAY
Tom Brady, TB ($7200)
It was the Leonard Fournette show last week for Tampa Bay, which means Brady’s DFS scores were very uninspiring. He still won’t have Antonio Brown for a bit, but Brady has a full complement of weapons against a Falcons squad that ranks last in sack rate and 31st in pressure rate. Brady with clean pockets is a terrifying thing, and his price is depressed.
Other options - Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts
Mid-tier options - Justin Herbert, Kirk Cousins
VALUE PLAY
Taylor Heinicke, WAS ($5600)
Washington is traveling across the country to Vegas, but facing a Raiders squad that has become incredibly soft lately, allowing the third most FPPG to QBs over the last three weeks while falling to the ninth most overall. The entire WFT offense has an upgrade this week, and are not priced as such.
Other options - Derek Carr, Tua Tagovailoa, Mike Glennon
RUNNING BACK
TOP PLAY
Jonathan Taylor, IND ($9200)
There are so many value/mid-tier spots that paying up for Taylor in cash is not difficult, and it should be the first thing you attempt. After beating two of the top-3 rush defenses in Buffalo and Tampa Bay, Taylor gets a smash spot against the Texans who have allowed the fifth most FPPG to RBs. The Colts need this win and are favored by 10 points, so you have to imagine he’s fed early and often. Taylor has averaged almost seven YPC over the past nine weeks and has also surpassed Nyheim Hines in the passing game, so $9200 even seems a little cheap.
Other options - Austin Ekeler, Joe Mixon, Alexander Mattison, Leonard Fournette
Mid-tier options - Cordarelle Patterson, Darrell Henderson, Eli Mitchell
VALUE PLAY
Antonio Gibson, WAS ($5700)
Gibson is presumably over his shin injury, and has been a featured player during WFT’s three game win streak, logging touch counts of 36, 19, and 26. Now he gets to face the Raiders who are getting decimated by RBs to the tune of 5.2 YPC and the fourth most FPPG to opposing RBs. JD McKissic looks to be on the wrong side of a questionable tag as well, which means Gibson would be the passing back as well after grabbing seven catches last week.
Other options - James Conner, David Montgomery, Jamaal Williams
WIDE RECEIVER
TOP PLAY
Cooper Kupp, LAR ($9000)
The other way to approach the cash build this week is to avoid Taylor, load up with three of the mid-tier RBs, and pay for Kupp at WR, whose price has dropped. Kupp has only had one game this year where he hasn’t logged double-digit targets (and he had nine in that one). Kupp has as reliable a floor as any RB (and a comparable ceiling as well), and Jacksonville has allowed the fourth most FPPG to opposing WRs while also having the fourth lowest pressure rate in the NFL.
Other options - Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, Keenan Allen, Terry McLaurin
Mid-tier options - Diontae Johnson, Chris Godwin, Jaylen Waddle
VALUE PLAY
Brandon Aiyuk, SF ($5600)
With market share dominator Deebo Samuel out, I imagine Eli Mitchell will wind up the biggest beneficiary (Seattle is much worse against RBs than WRs), but this marquee game could wind up with some fireworks, and Aiyuk is priced too cheaply for his new role as the WR1. Jamal Adams should be tasked more with defending George Kittle, and Aiyuk has been featured in the slot and out of the backfield as well. Aiyuk has 25 targets over the last five weeks, so that average should be his floor with Deebo out.
Other options - Hunter Renfrow, Michael Pittman, Odell Beckham, Elijah Moore, Darnell Mooney, Josh Reynolds
TIGHT ENDS
TOP PLAY
George Kittle, SF ($5900)
This writeup is a formality, because there is one cash value we all should be locking in. However, Kittle could easily lead the 49ers in production this week as the Seahawks allow the 11th most FPPG to TEs, and there’s merit to the double-TE approach.
Other options - Kyle Pitts, Rob Gronkowski
Mid-tier options - Dallas Goedert
VALUE PLAY
Foster Moreau, LV ($2700)
With Darren Waller listed as doubtful for this week, Moreau is the easy choice for cash games, and I assume we’ll see him approach 80-90% ownership in those formats. At $2700, fading him is not recommended for a Raiders squad desperate for playmakers without Ruggs and Waller. Washington is a soft matchup for all through the air, so Moreau has upside beyond his floor as well.
Other options - Evan Engram, Zack Gentry (if Friermuth misses)
TOP FIVE DEFENSES FOR CASH PRIORITY
Miami Dolphins ($3300)
Philadelphia Eagles ($3600)
New York Giants ($2700)
Arizona Cardinals ($3400)
Las Vegas Raiders ($2800)
