DRAFTKINGS NFL DFS CASH PLAYS WEEK 12 2022
WEEK 12 DRAFTKINGS DFS CASH PICKS
QUARTERBACK
TOP PLAY
Patrick Mahomes, KC ($8200)
Mahomes is separating himself from the field in the MVP race this year, as he’s on pace for over 5,500 passing yards (who needs Tyreek, anyway?). The Chiefs remain one of the most pass-heavy teams regardless of game script, so even in a blowout it’s likely Mahomes gets there. With all the RB values opening up, it’s viable to pay at QB this week.
Other options - Justin Herbert, Tua Tagovailoa, Kyler Murray
Mid-tier options - Joe Burrow
VALUE PLAY
Geno Smith, SEA ($6000)
Geno is still the overall QB7 and also the seventh-ranked QB in passing yards. Seattle is still a run-first team, but the game script has dictated neutral paths a lot for Seattle, keeping Smith’s volume up. A matchup with the Raiders is prime for the rested Smith, as Las Vegas has given up the third most FPPG to opposing QBs. Seattle has a healthy team total of 26 points.
Other options - Tom Brady, Jimmy Garoppolo, Mike White
RUNNING BACK
TOP PLAY
Josh Jacobs, LV ($7700)
Despite a couple of pedestrian weeks, Jacobs remains an elite RB1 and is coming off a smash performance where he turned 27 touches into 160 yards. Jacobs had an 80% snap share and a 100% carry share for the Raiders last week, volume that is virtually unmatched by all other RBs in the league. The Seahawks have allowed the ninth most FPPG to opposing WRs, and also the fourth most receptions out of the backfield.
Other options - Austin Ekeler, Christian McCaffrey, Derrick Henry
Mid-tier options - Kenneth Walker, Travis Etienne, James Conner, David Montgomery
VALUE PLAY
Jeff Wilson, MIA ($5900)
There are several cheap backs to use this week with multiple injuries at the position, but Wilson is the easiest play of them all. Wilson immediately took over the Miami backfield in his second game with the team, going 17-119-1 and receiving five targets. His price has barely moved, and now he gets the nuts matchup against Houston, who has allowed just under 190 rushing YPG and by far the most FPPG to opposing RBs. To top it off, Raheem Mostert looks iffy at best to play.
Other options - Samaje Perine, Antonio Gibson, Latavius Murray
WIDE RECEIVER
TOP PLAY
Davante Adams, LV ($8600)
With the RB values, it’s almost a certainty that I’ll be paying up for Adams at WR this week. With Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller on IR, Adams has racked up an incredible 44 targets in three weeks while scoring five TDs. Seattle has tightened up on WR defense as the season has gone along, but there’s no one capable of covering him on this team.
Other options - Tyreek Hill, DeAndre Hopkins
Mid-tier options - Tee Higgins, Deebo Samuel, DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett
VALUE PLAY
Keenan Allen, LAC ($6100)
Keenan Allen played only 68% of snaps last week, but emerged from the game healthy while his counterpart Mike Williams did not. With Williams looking very iffy to play, Allen could see a heightened workload, which is something he was already seeing with Herbert under center anyway. Allen’s injury history this year has been very troublesome, but he’s simply too cheap at $6100 with Mike Williams (and possibly Gerald Everett) hobbled.
Other options - Chris Godwin, Terry McLaurin, Cortland Sutton, Joshua Palmer, Garrett Wilson, Greg Dortch (core play if active)
TIGHT END
TOP PLAY
Travis Kelce, KC ($7700)
I’m generally one to spend as little as possible on the TE position, but Kelce should be 9k at least. The difference in fantasy points between Travis Kelce (TE1) and Mark Andrews (TE2) is the same as the difference from Andrews to Harrison Bryant (TE35) which is absolutely uncanny. Kelce is also currently the WR2 on the season, and is not priced as such. Juju Smith-Schuster is back, but Mecole Hardman is still on IR and Kadarius Toney is likely out as well.
Other options - Mark Andrews
Mid-tier options - George Kittle
VALUE PLAY
Foster Moreau, LV ($3400)
I’ve got a lot of Raiders in this article which worries me given the overall inefficiency of the team, but the injuries have made the offense super condensed. Moreau played 100% of the team’s snaps at TE last week, and Seattle has allowed the most FPPG to the position.
Other options - Greg Dulcich, Hayden Hurst, Tyler Conklin, Trey McBride
