Quarterback

Jimmy Garoppolo (Patriots)
Jimmy G played the whole first half last week in his opening audition as a starter. He'll face a Bears defense that just made Mark Sanchez and Trevor Sieman look just about flawless. Garropolo should play at least a half. The more he plays the more comfortable he will become. He seems like the safe quarterback play this week. He was 10/18 for 168 yards.

Running Backs

Kenjon Barner (Eagles)
Barner is in a fight for a roster spot with Byron Marshall and Wendell Smallwood. He rushed for 35 yards in the preseason opener, and should see plenty of opportunity again this week against the Lions. Head coach Doug Pederson appears to like Barner and is helping him transition from Chip's way to a West Coast type offense.

Christine Michael (Seahawks)
Michael is a player that we all thought would eventually replace Marshawn Lynch. He rushed for 44 yards on seven carries and impressed the coaching staff while doing so. We could witness a great story about perseverance. Michael is under a microscope at this point so he should be motivated in every opportunity he gets. The Seahawks drafted C.J. Prosise, and Alex Collins but we've seen veterans win jobs before.

Wide receiver

Aldrick Robinson (Falcons)
It is no secret how unsuccessful the Falcons have been landing solid wide receivers outside of Julio Jones in recent years. Aldrick Robinson had three receptions for 118 yards in the preseason opener. The veteran special teamer should see plenty of snaps tomorrow in an offense that is desperate for production at wideout.

Sammie Coates (Steelers)

The buzz about second year wideout Sammy Coates made optimist's look silly after Coates fumbled twice in the preseason opener. Coates caught three of four balls for 18 yards. Im going to give him another whirl. Veteran Darrius Heyward-Bey is playing well and is not going to make it easy for Coates to earn the number two job.

Aaron Dobson (Patriots)
The Patriots are banged up at wide receiver to say the least. Dobson is in a fight to make the roster and with Malcolm Mitchell now hurt, Dobson could see the field a ton tomorrow. Dobson had three receptions last week and those numbers could rise this week with the depleted corps.

Flex

Charles Johnson (Vikings)
Johnson was supposed to be a stud last season for the Vikings and he failed miserably. Stefon Diggs was impressive and this offseason the Vikings went out and draft Laquon Treadwell out of Ole Miss. Treadwell is a huge investment for the organization and eventually he will be a number one. Johnson hauled in a beautiful 49-yard touchdown in the second quarter last week. It was a confidence booster for sure, and it was good to see Teddy Bridgewater taking shots down the field.

Tight End

Martellus Bennett (Patriots)

In DFS when a player goes against a former team it is called " narrative street". Sometimes it is foolish to buy into it, other times there is validity to it. The self proclaimed "Black Unicorn" could see the field a ton tomorrow against his former Bears team. Rob Gronkowski is also a little dinged up as well. Bennett could be a perfect security blanket for Jimmy G in the middle of the field.

Defense/Special teams
Lions
The Lions had four sacks, two forced fumbles, and a 97 yard kick return for a touchdown against the Steelers in their preseason opener. Im going jump on them again in a home game at Ford field.
