DFS Busts - Week 10
By MuntradamusWEEK 10 BUSTS
CARSON PALMER @ SEA
MUNTRADAMUS RANK #27 QB
ECR RANK #11 QB
For Carson Palmer to go into Seattle and have a BEAST performance, would be the same thing as saying..Carson Palmer having a BEAST performance on the Road against arguably the best Secondary in the NFL on Primetime TV in a must-win game against the ex NFC Champions. Pete Carroll used to coach Carson Palmer at USC, which is a fun story line to watch. As for the game, Seattle will get so much pressure on Palmer so quickly, his owners should just hope he comes out of this game healthy.
DOUG MARTIN vs. DAL
MUNTRADAMUS #22 RB
ECR RANK #11 RB
Coach Lovie Smith will turn his back on a player quicker than you reading this sentence. The Dallas Cowboys have a very underrated Defense and with no emphasis on really needing to put too much attention on stopping Jameis Wintson and his Rookie QB arm, the Cowboys will be ready for Doug Martin all game. When Doug Martin has one slip up, time to hit up Charles Simms and ruin the rest of Dougie's Day.
GIOVANI BERNARD vs. HOU
MUNTRADAMUS #26 RB
ECR RANK #16 RB
While the matchup sounds really nice on paper against a swiss cheese tackling Texans Defense, this matchup definitely favors Jeremy Hill over Giovani ('Experts' have Giovani Ranked Higher). The Bengals should control this game from snap 1, through the end of the game. When the Bengals are winning and controlling the game, guess who will be the RB the entire 2nd half bruising and cruising to close out the game. Clue, not Giovani Bernard.
STEFON DIGGS @ OAK
MUNTRADAMUS #29 WR
ECR RANK #17 WR
Can you Diggggg it.
Last week Stefon Diggs finally put up a bust performance after back-2-back games where he needed a 2nd half T.Y. Hilton prayer play to give him respectable numbers. Most notable of all, Charles Johnson and his role grew last week, which was the main reason I never saw Diggs as an ever-week WR#2, and more of a Boom or Bust, more Bust, WR#3.
This week Diggs gets another favorable matchup against an Oakland Secondary that allowed Antonio Brown to have more receiving yards last week, than Ryan Fitzmagic had passing yards last night on Thursday Night Football. While the matchup looks good, sounds good, Stefon Diggs is going to see what happens on a game that should be controlled by AP all game.
LARRY FITZGERALD @ SEA
MUNTRADAMUS #43 WR
ECR RANK #22 WR
If Carson Palmer is going to have a rough game, Larry Fitzgerald will follow in his foot steps. Fitzgerald will need a TD to save his day similar to what Brandon Marshall put up last night. Only difference is Fitzgerald will have to work very hard for every reception as Seattle has had an extra week to prepare against this Cardinals Defense while on their bye. Fitzgerald has had success against Seattle before, but in a must-win game for Seattle this week, expect them to lock down the future Hall of Famer.
JOHN BROWN @ SEA
MUNTRADAMUS #59 WR
ECR RANK #33 WR
Flip a Coin. Heads or Tails?
Does not matter, because John Brown's chances of getting more than 1 deep catch is like hitting heads or tails 10x in a row. Even one deep catch against this angry Seattle Secondary would be amazing, and this guy cannot do anything else besides be Mike Wallace circa 2014 with the Dolphins. What can Brown do for you this week? Sit on your bench.
