DFS BUSTS - Week 18
By MuntradamusFANTASY FOOTBALL WILDCARD
DAILY FANTASY BUST'S OF THE WEEK
First of all want to wish you all a Happy New Year, and remember to achieve all the goals you set for yourself in 2016. The first goal for myself is to BEAST this week in Daily Fantasy Football with the Wildcard Round on tap. The thing about Daily Fantasy Football for the Playoffs is you cannot afford to have a MAJOR Bust. If you own a MAJOR Bust at a position with only 4 games on tap, there is no way your team can rebound. These players below are players you cannot afford to play.
QB
TEDDY BRIDGEWATER vs. SEA
While you may think you can go with a strategy of saving money at the QB Position this week, it better not be with Teddy Bridgewater. The chances of Bridgewater throwing the ball 20+ times against the Seahawks is one thing, the chances of him doing it with weather at zero degrees, there is no way Bridgewater is throwing the football much on Sunday. The Vikings will live and die with Adrian Peterson and their defense.
RB
EDDIE LACY @ WAS
Eddie Lacy has been a HUGE Bust this season and maybe one of the most inconsistent Fantasy Stars in the game today. Get ready to add another fact behind that statement as he goes up against Terrance Knighton and the very underrated Redskins Run D. Lacy is a BEAST, but James Starks is still a factor and the Packers play-calling has been as predictable as Stefon Diggs ending up somewhere on my BUST list.
CHARCANDRICK WEST @ HOU
While West has proven to be a stud, the Texans Defense is playing on Steroid level Football right now. J.J. Watt cannot be stopped, and when Watt is on fire the entire Texans D-Line gets too much pressure. For West to have a big game it will have to be on a fluke big play.
WR
DOUG BALDWIN @ MIN
Doug Baldwin was easily the Fantasy MVP of the last month of Fantasy Football, but that all comes to an end this Sunday when he plays in the cold zero degree weather in Minnesota. While Russell Wilson will definitely try to win this game if Marshawn cannot get it going, it is still too risky to play Doug Baldwin who has seen his price rise with his historic success.
STEFON DIGGS vs. SEA
Diggs put together a nice end of the season for the Vikings, but a matchup against the Seahawks in zero degree weather is not what the doctor ordered. For Stefon Diggs to have a big game against the Seahawks is one thing, the zero degree weather makes him unplayable in Daily Fantasy.
DAVANTE ADAMS @ WAS
Adams has been dropping passes all season and it appears Aaron Rodgers has had enough. While you can take a gamble that Davante Adams magically comes alive, he is definitely gone in the wrong direction as far as how many times Rodgers looks for him.
TE
KYLE RUDOLPH vs. SEA
While you may think Bridgewater will just dump the ball to Kyle Rudolph because it is so cold, you still cannot trust any Vikings player outside of AP. Kyle Rudolph will be in block mode all game, and the only chance you get something productive is a goal line TD. It will still be hard for the Vikings to make their way up the field against the Hawks.
